Cost function for desander

Cost Functions

The original cost function (A1) for the desander is as follows:

Función de costos para desarenador (1)

The original cost function (A1) for desander has as its variable (A) the surface area in ft2 (square feet). The following relationship was used to express that area as a function of flow:

Función de costos para desarenador (2)

With an Overload Flow (C) of 300 m/d, the initial equation is transformed as follows:

Función de costos para desarenador (3)

Additional modifications to this function correspond to the correction of costs per year, with the CCI ENR index of 9547 of the year 2013, to obtain A3. Then the part B2 related to the elasticity index is added. This is done in the same way as explained in the Cost Functions Wiki — General .

The final equation is the following:

Función de costos para desarenador (4)
