What is WaterProof?

It is a platform that turns scientific data into practical prefeasibility information to guide decisions on water management, investment in Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and climate resilience.

In a context of climate change and variability, in which watersheds face growing risks from droughts, floods and ecosystem degradation, the tool makes it possible to identify priority areas, estimate benefits and calculate the economic return (ROI) of interventions. Its flood mitigation module allows you to analyze risk scenarios and assess how NbS can help reduce vulnerabilities, strengthen climate resilience and protect the ecosystem services associated with water.
