Cost Functions

The original cost function (A1) for the dosage of chlorine gas is as follows:

This function has as variable (x), which is the chlorine dosing capacity in lb / d (Pounds per day). The following relationship was used to express this capacity as a function of flow (L / s):

Where Q is the flow rate and D is the applied dose. For Chlorine, a usual dose of 1.2 mg / L was taken. Based on the above, the following replacement of the variables of the equation:

Additional modifications to this function correspond to the correction of costs per year, with the CCI ENR index of 9547 of the year 2013, to obtain A3. Then part B2 related to the elasticity index is added. This is done in the same way as explained in the Cost Functions Wiki — General.
